Transpower Vidyut Technics, through its consortium member - Transpower Electric, is the early bird to step into solar energy installations. In the year 2000, solar captive generation plant was setup starting from 15 kW of solar roof-tops for a charitable trust. This installation completed in 2001 and is working at highest efficiency without any break downs.

Apart from solar roof-tops, Transpower Electric was the first to grid connect 2 kW Nano solar roof-top for a residential installation in Bangalore.

Transpower Electric has installed many solar roof-tops for both urban and rural areas of various sizes.
